The Federal Minister of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives has announced a nationwide student laptop and internship program. More than 60,000 paid internships will be offered to young graduates, he said.
Minister Ahsan Iqbal also said 100,000 laptops will be distributed to students across Pakistan. According to SAPM on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja PMYP, the federal government will reintroduce the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. He went on to say that the federal government will provide scholarships to students admitted to the top 25 universities in the world and that 100,000 of those students will receive laptops.
During a speech at an international summit, the federal minister also mentioned 1 lakh laptops and 60,000 student internships provided by the government for unemployed candidates.
